Narrated through the eyes of Saint John the Apostle, the film contains spectacular visual effects and scenes “that draw you deep into the apocalyptic story.”
The story’s explanation of each of Saint John’s visions is backed up by the teachings of the Early Church Fathers, as well as “the ideas of Cardinal Louis Billot, Josef Pieper, Saint John Henry Newman, Bartholomew Holzhauser, and Fr. Leonardo Castellani.”
Simón Delacre, a devout Catholic family man and Argentinian, is the film’s director.
According to the official website of “The Apocalypse of St. John,”
“The film is based on the Biblical Apocalypse, mostly known as The Book of Revelation —an ancient prophecy about the End of Times.”
“This film will not only guide you through spectacular cinematic portrayals, but will also lead you—with clarity and engaging storytelling—through the complex theological explanations behind each vision. The film shows that Revelation is a prophecy already being fulfilled in our time.
Prepare for a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience that takes you to the very heart of the prophecy, offering an unmatched vision of the true Apocalypse. Are you ready to discover what the future holds?”
