Have you heard of the beautiful, award-winning short film, “Fully Known“?
In this beautiful work of art, the main character, Gabriella, (played by Catholic actress and Joelle Maryn), suffers a tragic brain aneurysm and loses her memory.
She stays in the hospital and experiences a powerful illumination of conscience, or a vision of her soul.
This film was nominated for 24 awards and generated four wins at major Christian film festivals.
“Fully Known“ is loosely based on Joelle Maryn’s story, which Hollywood Catholic covered last week. Maryn also received two “Best Actress” awards for her performance in the film.
“My film “Fully Known” showed a glimpse of the illumination of conscience I received, which was a complete act of mercy and changed my entire life,” she told Hollywood Catholic in a second interview.
Maryn also explained why this powerful film is so important for our times:
“While my character Gabriella suffers amnesia, the overall theme of the film tackles one of the greatest worldwide crises of our time – spiritual amnesia!
“We have forgotten our identity and that we are children of God!
“When we turn back to The Lord and allow His love to begin to live in our hearts then we will begin to see it in the world and each other again.
“It’s time to wake up from our sleep, cry out to God in prayer and be healed.
“God knows us and loves us!”

“I want everyone to hear from the Lord and realize they are fully known, fully seen, fully heard and with Him ALL things are possible!” Maryn concluded.
“Nothing and no one defines us except God. We are His children and He has good plans for us.”
