What a beautiful witness!

Catholic actress and model Joelle Maryn travels all over the world sharing her incredible story about leaving Hollywood to pursue a life of holiness. She did not realize when she left everything God would eventually put her back in, but this time, for His purposes.

Joelle Maryn is an award-winning actress, a model, and television host who experienced a miraculous illumination of conscience in 2012.

Maryn told Hollywood Catholic that she “saw her life flash before her eyes,” including “all of her sins, the ripple effect of sin, and that she hadn’t loved.” 

The actress, model, and former CEO then decided that God was calling her to leave Hollywood and use her talents to serve the Lord.

She shared a photo of the day she realized she “had no idea” who she was:

“I was in Hollywood for a photo shoot and looked in the mirror and realized I had no idea who I was, why I was here, and I certainly wasn’t living freely,” Maryn told Hollywood Catholic.

“My brokenness was so deep, and excruciatingly painful. I posed for the cameras, but felt like a fake, not a true masterpiece but just a piece of something that could never be made whole. My exterior was a colorful and detailed portrait of who I thought others wanted me to be,” Maryn said.

Joelle Maryn continued with more of her miraculous story:

I spent the rest of the day in Beverly Hills hanging out with celebrities, trying to hide the extreme emptiness and loneliness I felt inside… nothing was what it seemed…that evening I ended up on the shower floor of my fancy hotel room crying for hours and truly praying for the first time in years ‘Lord I need you…I don’t have any idea who I am…I feel shattered…please help me pick up the pieces.’

“Shortly after I had a miraculous experience that changed my life forever. I definitely had no idea my story would eventually reach over half a billion people around the world proclaiming that Jesus IS the ‘Master of our pieces.’

“And the best part is, that after I made this change, God didn’t smash my dreams – He resurrected them. They are so much better than I ever could have imagined. And I am confident He will do the same for you

“Today when you look in the mirror, I hope you see who you truly are, whose you are and how amazing you are. God loves you and so do I! Always pray and never give up.”
