“Crepuscular rays were visible over top Saint Peter’s Basilica at the very moment the new Pope was chosen,” Kodesh wrote in the video’s caption.
Kodesh details what she saw in the video commentary:
“If you believe, folks, look at this. That’s what I’m talking about. There is the sign that I’m talking about. Those are crepuscular rays coming off the top of Saint Peter’s Basilica,” Kodesh begins.
“The reason that’s important…and so symbolic is in meteorology, crepuscular rays come out of clouds. I call them glory rays because they look glorious like they’re from the heavens,” she adds.
“Crepuscular is from the Latin term ‘crepusculum,’ which is so fitting that it’s of a Latin term while we are watching live out of the Vatican Crepusculum means ‘twilight.’
“You can only get those at two different times of the day: in the morning or at night. At twilight.
“It’s 6:45 pm in the Vatican right now and crepuscular rays were just visible from the top of Saint Peter’s Basilica as they are about to announce the new pope.
“I don’t think you can get any more symbolic than that.”
The rays then beam brighter as she concludes the video, leaving the meteorologist “speechless.”
