Carrie Underwood is an unashamed Christian and openly expresses her faith, even though she says it can be “difficult.”
Growing up attending First Free Will Baptist Church in Checotah, Oklahoma, Carrie told two of this year’s American Idol contestants that bringing faith into the entertainment industry “is a brave thing to do.”
“I know how difficult it is to come into the entertainment industry and bring your faith with you. It is a brave thing to do because there are a lot of outside forces that are going to tell you not to do that,” she said.
