Here’s what the exorcist says about Judas:
“A significant figure during this week is the figure of Judas Iscariot. We read about him in the Gospels during Holy Week,” Msgr. Rossetti begins.
“One question I often get asked as an exorcist is, ‘Was Judas possessed by Satan?’
“The answer to that, clearly, is yes. The scriptures say, ‘When Judas took the morsel at the Last Supper, it says ‘Satan entered into him.’ Very clear. Judas became possessed because of his own sins.
“For example, Scriptures tell us that he was a thief. He was put in charge of the finances of the apostles and Jesus. It says he was a thief–he was stealing.
“So he was violating one of the commandments. I suspect there were other things that Judas was doing as well, which are not in the scriptures. But he was opening himself up to Satan by committing serious sins. And of course, that hug sin–the greatest of sins–he betrayed Jesus.”
