She says the Antichrist lives among us and works with the the current world elite.

“His name is Alex, but he will be known by another name. This is the Antichrist,” she says the Blessed Mother allegedly told her in 2013.

“He will appear because he is already here,” she says. “They often ask me if he is Alex Cypress. There’s been a great many speculation about his identity. But we must wait for him to introduce himself.”

“In this moment,” she continues, “the Antichrist is giving orders to the world’s elite groups. He is the one who is behind and responsible for everything today that is happening on our earth.”

Bonilla then clarifies, explaining that “the Antichrist is directing the world elite and this for many years back. But now the Antichrist is going faster, because he is eager to present himself publicly.

“That’s the reason why all the peace efforts are not producing any fruit.

“Including, about four years ago, we were told by Heaven that the day will come when there will be talks and negotiations of peace in the near future, but it would be a negotiation of false peace and that there would be no peace. That is precisely what we are seeing today,” Bonilla explains.

Father Mark Goring of the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall simply explains Luz de Maria her revelations about the Antichrist:

  2. I read a book about 15 years ago that argued, convincingly enough for me, that there are quite a few prophecies (from Saints, Doctors of the Church, and Popes) that must first be fulfilled and that will take at least a century or two before the final crisis with the Antichrist. Of course, if you were being tortured to death in the Terror of the French Revolution, or by Stalin or Hitler, or by jihadists — you get the idea — the fact that it was just AN antichrist and not THE antichrist who was doing that to you might not seem like an important distinction at the time.

Having said that, “Alex” as a name is a good fit. According to the Internet, it comes from Greek words meaning “defender of humankind”, which is certainly the role he will pretend to play. However, I would tend to break it up as a-lex, with “a” meaning “no” (as in “atheist” or “anarchy”) and “lex” meaning “law”, so that “Alex” could also mean “the man of lawlessness”.

    1. Actually, some of the prophecies are part of the public revelation given in Scripture, and so are binding.

One is that “the gospel will be preached to every nation.” That has *almost* been done, but there are still several uncontacted tribes, so it does not seem to have been fulfilled yet.

Another is that not one stone from Jerusalem, as it was at the time of Christ, would be left atop another. Again, this has *almost* been fulfilled during several destructions of Jerusalem, notably the one in A.D. 70, but not quite — notably, the Wailing Wall still stands. Many years ago, I was discussing such things with a Jewish friend and pointed this out. I asked what he thought would happen if a terrorist bomb destroyed the Wailing Wall. He responded, “My God, that’s all we have left. All hell would break loose!” Exactly.
This was also the argument St. Cyril of Jerusalem used to Julian the Apostate when explaining why the latter would not be able to rebuild the Temple.
