Will Chris Pratt return to the Catholic Church?
Actor Chris Pratt, known for his starring roles in several hit movies, including “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Thor,” “Jurassic World,” revealed in a recent Fox News interview that he was baptized Catholic and will raise his kids with wife Katherine Schwarzenegger Catholic.
“I was baptized Catholic, but we weren’t a big church-going family,” he told Fox News. “I’ve had a few different moments during the course of my life where I’ve really felt called to God and gave my heart to Jesus.”

This revelation came alongside his new partnership with Hallow, a Catholic prayer app, which has sparked new interest in his spiritual life and family values.
Pratt said he “made a deal with God” after his son was born with several health problems. He told God that if he saved his now 12-year-old son, Jack, he would “give God everything.”
“I’ll give you everything. I’ll give you my life. I’ll give you my platform. I won’t be ashamed to talk…about you,” he said. “He did save my son. And I’ve been trying to make good on that promise ever since.”
Chris Pratt and the Catholic Faith
Pratt, now 45, continues to express his love for Christianity, often sharing prayers and gratitude on social media. He also recently revealed that he completed “The Bible in a Year” with Father Mike Schmitz.
However, his collaboration with Hallow—a platform designed to deepen users’ spiritual lives through guided prayer—marks a more public embrace of his Catholic heritage.
This focus on faith extends to his role as a father. Pratt shares son Jack, 12, with ex-wife Anna Faris, and daughters Lyla, 4, Eloise, 2, and newborn son Ford with wife Katherine Schwarzenegger.
Katherine, daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, comes from a prominent Catholic family.
As he navigates fame, fatherhood, and now this partnership, Pratt’s Catholic baptism and commitment to raising his kids in the faith reveal a man grounded by belief—a narrative that continues to captivate and encourage his audience.
